During the seriousness of living under restrictions during a pandemic, there is still evidence of students trying to live life as normal.
That was evident during Northern Oklahoma College Agriculture and Biological Science Instructor Kurt Campbell’s Microbiology class this past week.
During his ZOOM session with students, he noticed that Bryce Scroggins was doing something a little different than microbiology.
“Are you cleaning a turkey?’ Campbell asked.
“It was a total shock to me when I looked up and saw Bryce with that turkey,” Campbell said.
Campbell then asked Scroggins to describe what he was doing. As he continued to clean the turkey, he explained that he was on a turkey hunt and remembered that he had class.
The session was recorded by another student and then became viral on social media with literally hundreds of thousands of shares.
In all seriousness, Campbell said the internet technology for students is vital to finishing the spring semester.
“It’s been a blessing to have this type of technology that we can reach out to our students,” he said.
Scroggins said in an interview with Fox 25 in Oklahoma City that he was glad it brought some levity to the class.
“The important thing is that people are trying to live a regular life despite all the quarantine stuff that is going on, life is still happening,” Scroggins said.
Scroggins is a Pre-Med major from Mulhall-Orlando.
Campbell and Scroggins were interviewed on Fox 25 in Oklahoma City, the interview can be seen at okcfox.com .
