“Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for Him; fret not when men prosper in their ways, when they carry out wicked schemes. Refrain from anger and abandon wrath; do not fret—it can only bring harm”.
~ Psalm 37:7-8
Patiently wait on the Lord?
Being still and simply waiting on God’s deliverance and justice is never easy. Yet, the Lords timing is not our timing, and thus requires us to at times to be patient. It is easier when we realize we are not called to fix the world’s problems. However, we are called to live righteously within them.
This is not an abandonment of God’s call to us to proclaim the Gospel, or to do justice. It is a call to walk humbly with the Lord. We must recognize our limitations and God’s power if we are to reside in Holy patience. We are to recognize who it is that redeems, delivers, and saves. It is not Us. We, in our limited human ability, can only join into what the Author and Perfector of our faith is already doing in the world! So, the outcomes are not ours to claim... neither is the glory.
Thank God with me, that we are called to join into what God is doing rather than lead. It would be discouraging to have such demands placed upon us understanding our human weaknesses and limitations apart from God’s grace.
I know that I am grateful to place this in God’s hands and care. I pray that you are too.
So be faithful... walk humbly... and be patient. God’s plan, His timing, and His deliverance are perfect!
Grace upon grace,

Good Character students of the week...
Mrs. Grein and the Character Counts Program has started a new weekly recognition initiative to showcase students of good character. One student from the Mid-High and one from the High School each week will be chosen from students nominated by teachers for the Good Character Student of the Week. At the end of each semester, a drawing will be held and one student from each level will win a larger prize for their good character. This initiative is sponsored by Character Counts.
