The Tonkawa Historical society this week issued a special thanks to The Tonkawa Tribe for “being an awesome host” for the bowling tournament held at the Hub for the Museum roof fundraiser, Valorie Buss said this week.Over $4,500 was raised for the project.Teams included Tonkawa Tribe, OK Bit, Northern Oklahoma College, Tonkawa NAPA, A-Line, Williams Construction, Kent ditmore, Janine Roth and family, Dr. Sarah Campbell, First National Bank of Oklahoma, Dennis Buss and special guest team the Tonkawa Police Department.Logan Moore at Crazy Al’s donated spirits for the event.“We highly recommend the Hub of the Tonkawa Tribe for your next party or fundraiser,” Mrs. Buss said.An estimated $50,000 plus is needed to replace the building’s roof.Send donations to:Tonkawa Historical SocietyP.O.
