Kayla Wooderson has been named Director of Alumni and Community Relations at Northern Oklahoma College. She assumed her new duties July 19.
Wooderson’s office is located in the Vineyard Library Administration Building on the Tonkawa campus and will report directly to the Vice President for Development and Community Relations.
As alumni and community relations director, Wooderson will serve on the development and community relations team, having direct responsibility for providing programming and services for Northern Oklahoma College alumni as well as community relations efforts for the College. The Director also plays a key role in encouraging alumni involvement in the college-sponsored activities and perpetuating and strengthening ties to their alma mater.
“I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to continue to serve Northern Oklahoma College and the Development and Community Relations Office,” Wooderson said. “I am beyond excited to work with our alumni and enhance the past efforts made by Ms. Ochoa and Alumni Office and continue to provide opportunities and events that keep our former students connected to NOC.”
Sheri Snyder, Vice President for Development and Community Relations said, “I look forward to continuing to work together with Kayla in her new role in alumni and community relations. I believe she will be a great ambassador to our alumni and communities in which we serve.”
NOC President Dr. Clark Harris added, “Kayla will be effective in her new role. With her dedication and love for NOC, I believe that she can help the College grow and that our alumni, friends and donors will enjoy working with her.”
A 2015 alumna of NOC with an associate’s degree in Arts & Science and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2020, Wooderson has been employed at NOC since 2014. She worked as a Cashier in the Finance Department and Student Account Specialist before her current role as the Administrative Assistant for Development and Community Relations. She has served in that role since 2017.
Wooderson, a native of Blackwell, is a current board member of the Blackwell Youth Center, and has served on multiple committees for the institution such as the Policy and Procedures Committee, Emergency Response Plan Communication Team, and the Presidential Search Committee. Wooderson and husband Grady live on the outskirts of Blackwell and have two children Caden, 9, and Emmy, 7.
