Five young men will make Buccaneer history by being the first Tonkawa Bowling Team to participate in a regional tournament. The five man team includes Tyler Looper, Kai Day, Scott Funk, Brendan Ochoa, and Tuff Crosby. In the Fall of 2021, Kevin Harris, General Manager of The Hub, contacted THS to arouse some interest in becoming a member in a bowling league. Soon, players hit The Hub and started perfecting their game. Nevona Bossert, retired bowling instructor at NOC, has made occasional appearances to give pointers. Each week, players are allowed to practice during assigned times at no charge. In addition, each week includes an afternoon of 8 matches between teams from Frontier and Ponca City. Buc Bowlers are 5-1 on the season. Tryouts for the All Star Team were held and Kai Day and Scott Funk secured a spot. All-Star Competition will be held on March 5 at Edmond.Next up for the Buc Bowlers is the regional Tournament Saturday, February 19 at Frontier Lanes in Stillwater.
