Deaths

Ken Richard Kreger was born on May 25, 1941 to Dr. Glenn

S. and Gladys Louise Kreger.

He died on June 3, 2019 at the age of 78.

He attended Tonkawa schools and graduated from Oklahoma

State University in 1963 with a degree in Animal Science.

While at Oklahoma State, Ken was active in ROTC, Block and

Bridle Rodeo Club, and the Flying Aggies Aviation team. As a young man during his college summers, Ken enjoyed working as a cowboy at the Burr Ranch in Walden, Colorado. He also enjoyed bull riding and participating in rodeos throughout his college years.

In 1967, Ken purchased the farm and home of his maternal grandparents, W.T. and Mabel Jones, also of Tonkawa. In

1967, Ken married Sherry Madderra of Ponca City, and later had two daughters, Kim and

Audra Kreger. Ken was a wheat farmer, had an aerial spraying business, and was active in oil production. Ken loved flying, farming, traveling, and collecting guns.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Glenn S. Kreger and Gladys Louise Kreger.

Ken is survived by his daughters, Kim Kreger of Island Park, New York, and Audra Kreger of Alexandria, VA; brothers, Joe R. Kreger of Tonkawa, and Dr. Ron M. Kreger of Ponca City; and granddaughters, Eden and Emerson Boyd of Alexandria, VA.

A memorial ceremony for Ken will be held on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel at Trout Funeral Home in Tonkawa.

Arrangements are under the direction of Trout Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Tonkawa.
