This weeks Buc Blab is a little bitter sweet for this past week. We had a great Thanksgiving week with a full week off and got to watch our Buccaneers take on the Morrison Wildcats Friday night on our last game on home turf. Students are well rested and ready to get back to their studies after a well deserved break. Starting off with the sad and bitter part, our 2021 Football Season has ended with a 10 and 3 season. The Bucs took on the Wildcats hoping to advance into another week of playoffs but fell short against the Wildcats 12-0. We are super proud of the Football Team at what they’ve accomplished this year, it was one amazing team. Words from other players and coaches say that there isn’t a better, harder hitting, and well rounded team than the Tonkawa Buccaneers. Great leadership, athletes, and coaching staff make up an amazing team and we sure had one this year. We are going to miss our seniors out on the field as they hang up their jerseys one last time. Moving onto the sport basketball… The Bucs start out their season against the Newkirk Tigers home at 6:00. Undetermined if there will be JV playing and if there is it will start at 4:30, all following games will be after. They also play the Perry Maroons at Perry’s new gymnasium next to the Perry Grade school. Looks like two strong groups of basketball teams will be working hard this year to achieve some trophies, plaques, and maybe even a gold ball this year. Wishing the best of luck to the basketball teams as they start this year’s adventure! That’s all i have for this week, see you soon! Go Bucs ...
