Northern Oklahoma College basketball players Demaree King and Caitlyn Bailey were named Student Athletes of the Week for March 2.
Bailey is a freshman from Luther while King is a sophomore from Tulsa.
For the week, Bailey averaged 11 points, four assists, 4.5 rebounds, 15 steals per game, she shot 57 percent from the field, 50 percent from the 3-point line, and 100 percent from the line.
“Caitlin is playing well and getting more comfortable every day with managing the point guard position,” said coach Greg Krause.
King averaged 33 points in two games last week including a school record 12 3-pointers against Eastern.
What a great way to go out as a sophomore,” said coach Donnie Jackson. “I’m happy that Demaree’s name will be etched into the record books with his record setting performance. Now, we need him to finish strong as the region tournament starts Thursday.”
