Camaryn Alexander all-region; trio make 2A-8 all-district

Camaryn Alexander of Tonkawa has been named to the Class 2A-A-B All Region team as a third baseman.

She was also among three named to the District 2A-8 all-district team.

Joining her on the all-district team were sophomore Jacie Johnson and senior Kristin Martin as utility players.

Chesnie Hewitt of OK Union was named player of the year. Morgen Bellar of OK Union was named defensive player of the year and Miya Curry of Pawhuska offensive player of the year.

Mavs soccer ends season in NJCAA Region 2 semi-finals

ENID, Oklahoma – Northern Oklahoma Soccer ended the 2019 season Saturday with losses in the

NJCAA Region 2 tournament held in Enid.

The women’s soccer team lost their NJCAA Region 2 semi-final to 7th ranked Seminole State 1-0 while the men lost to Rose State 4-3.

The loss ended the women’s season at 8-8-2 while the men fell to 5-10-3.

Saturday’s women’s game was scoreless until the 76th minute when the Trojans scored what would be the winning goal.

The Mavs women had two good chances in the game’s final minutes but couldn’t find the back of the net.
