The NOC Nursing Division is hosting a Pre-Nursing Student Day Tuesday, Oct. 18 on all three NOC campuses. The event is set for 1:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. at Tonkawa, Enid, and Stillwater. Students have an opportunity to experience the NOC nursing program with a facility tour and participate in a practice lab. Advisors and faculty will be available to answer questions. Art, community donations, city of Blackwell and the Top of Oklahoma Historical Society Museum have joined to create a new space at the Museum to honor past museum board members. A newly renovated patio outside the Clubroom opens officially to the public Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 am.
Starting their new year with a luncheon, Delphi Study Club members were introduced to The Second Mrs. Astor during a review by Marjilea Smithheisler of New York Times bestselling author Shanna Abé’s story of John Jacob Astor IV’s teenaged second wife.
Students leave Northwestern Oklahoma State University with the knowledge to succeed in a particular field. In their final semester, 17 senior education students have received their student teaching assignments and have entered area schools to gain hands-on experience.
