Swing by Venture Foods on Sunday, November 24 from 10 am to 2 pm to support the local Tonkawa Livestock Program during their Holiday Bake Sale. The bake sale offers sweet treats to the community and helps to raise funds for the Tonkawa kids’ livestock projects.

The investiture for Diana Morris Watkins, the 15th president for Northern Oklahoma College, will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2025, in the Kinzer Performing Arts Center on the Northern Oklahoma College Tonkawa campus at 3 p.m.
On November 14, Avenue of Hope partnered with Strong Dads in an open house at their facility, located at 1815 N. Union St. At the event, those in attendance had the opportunity to speak to representatives of both Avenue of Hope and the Strong Dads program. The ability to learn and explore the programs that both organizations have available and how they can help to support community members.
The Art Center of Tonkawa strives to inspire culture and artistic experiences and in turn enriching the quality of life for each person that enters their doors. They are able to do this by displaying and selling artwork from local artists, hosting events, and fostering a learning environment for the people in the area.
Attended my first museum board meeting last Wednesday the 13th and must say I was very impressed. Watch for several additions and some surprises to be unveiled for the Christmas parade. The board will most definitely decorate the store front and the museum will be lit up and open the evening of the Christmas Parade.
