WHO: GreaterGood Charities’ Good Fix program will collaborate with the Northern Oklahoma Humane Society to offer free spay/neuter surgeries for dogs and cats (owned and free roaming) in the Ponca City area at a high-quality/high-volume spay and neuter clinic. Dogs and cats that are spayed or neutered at the clinic are also eligible for free vaccinations and microchips. The sterilization of hundreds of dogs and cats will help prevent unwanted litters across the area and humanely minimize the free-roaming dog and cat population overtime. Good Fix Ponca City is made possible by the Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation, Banfield Foundation, and Oatamars.
When you are a grandparent raising a grandchild, you don’t get to just have fun with them like a grandparent is supposed to. You have to be the parent as well as the grandparent. Many times the grandparent is retired and looking at enjoying retirement when they are faced with caring for a grandchild or multiple grandchildren. You may even still be working and trying to juggle working to provide for them and having the time to care for yourself as well as them. It is important to take some time for yourself and care for you as well as the grandchildren.
