The Northern Oklahoma College Mavericks dominated NEO in women’s soccer last Sunday winning 7-1.NOC improved to 4-1-1 on the season and 2-0-1 in conference play.NOC dominated the game considering the Lady Norse focused on defense playing nine defenders in front of the ball.“Credit the girls for their patience and passing ability,” said coach Michael DuRoy. “Our first group moved it well. The second group had a few bad passes, but it was uncharacteristic of the player that was responsible for most of them so I’m not worried. They gave us a lot of space on the outside and our outside backs. Our girls can really move the ball. They are fun to watch.”Scoring goals for the Mavericks were Luana San Miguel and Jazmine Furra with two each while Chloe Wilkins, Heidi Wiedmeier, and Maria Perez scored one goal each.NOC hosts Redlands Sunday at 3 p.m. in their next home action.
