Heat acclamation week began Monday, Aug. 3rd at 9:00 a.m., with over 30 prospects reporting, Tonkawa Buc Head Football Coach Mike Kirtley said this week. Full pads will be donned this Friday.
Limited practice began Monday, Aug. 10th at 3:30 p.m. daily until school starts Thursday, Aug. 20. Then all practices will be after school. All players need a signed physical. Forms can be picked up at the High School. Full practices with full pads will begin Friday, aug. 14.
According to the OSSAA, zero week will be aug. 27-29 and football opens for junior varsity and junior high aug. 31. Football opens for varsity Sept. 3.
The Bucs will scrimmage Hominy here Aug. 21 and will open the season at Newkirk Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7 p.m.
