That second season arrives this Friday for Tonkawa basketball teams.
Both will see action in first round Class 2A District Tournament action at Fairview Friday night.
The girls, now 13-10 on the season, will meet Watonga, 11-7.
The Buc boys, now 3-20 for the year, will meet Fairview, 11-11.
Friday night’s winners will face Fairview girls and Watonga boys in the district championships.
To advance, both teams need to win Friday night. But if they win, both would advance to the Regional Tournament at Ponca City next weekend in the double elimination bracket. (See below)
In action this past week, the Lady Bucs beat Newkirk twice and lost to Blackwell. The Buc boys fell in all three contests. high school girls
