Linda Louise Evans

Linda (Weezy) was born March 29th. 1950 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Bettye A (Gorton) Anson and Arthur L Anson. She went to be with the Lord September 6th. 2022 at her home in Tonkawa.

Linda worked most of her life in the restaurant and nursing industry in Tonkawa, Blackwell and Ponca City, Oklahoma. She enjoyed going for car rides after a good rain and watching Family Feud (she thought Steve Harvey was funny) and all of the cooking shows, especially Ree Drummond. She got to visit Ree’s ranch a few years ago and eat at her restaurant in Bartlesville which she thoroughly enjoyed. Linda is survived by brother in law Tinch Cole of Blackwell, Oklahoma, daughters Lisa Jones of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Lorie Grove and husband Curtis of Moore, Oklahoma.

Linda was known by her grandchildren as Grandma, Grandma Linda and Nanny; Joey Roberts of Blackwell, Oklahoma, Misti Roberts of Texas, Michael Roberts of Kremlin, Oklahoma, Johnathan and wife Amber Roberts of Covington, Oklahoma, Kristina and husband Bryan Stoll of Garber, Oklahoma, Tia Jones of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Bethani Grove of Moore, Oklahoma, Justin and wife Megan Grove of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

Her great grandchildren called her Grandma, Great Nana and Nana Great Nana; Madison Long of Garber, Oklahoma, Brealee Long of Garber, Oklahoma, Alyk Stoll of Garber, Oklahoma, Ryder Hembree of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Paizlee Brasher of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Penelope Brasher of Tonkawa, Oklahoma, Emmalynn Grove of Ponca City and Samuel Grove of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

She will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Wanda Cole, Rose Askren, Ruthie Martin. Brothers: Sherman Hunt, Johnny Hunt, Billy Dell, son Marty Roberts and grandson Joey Roberts.

Graveside service will be held at Round Grove Cemetery 8501 W Highland Ave. Ponca City, OK 74601 September 17th 2022 at 2pm. with Pastor Josh Reese of Tonkawa officiating.
