Funeral services for Wanda Jewell Becker, 92, Fairview, will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Mennonite Brethren Church with the Reverend Travis Schmidt officiating. Arrangements are by Fairviw Funeral Home, Inc.

She was born Aug. 22, 1929, at Isabella, OK. to Sol and Florence (Fuller) Bierig. She died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, at the Fairview Fellowship Home, where she had resided since January.

Raised on the farm 8 miles east of Fairview, she attended and graduated from Fairview High school in 1947.

She married the love of her life, Harrison Ray Becker on April 20, 1947, at the Fairview Methodist Church. They were blessed with three children -- Lyle, Lyndon and Lana. He preceded her in death at age 84 Nov. 15, 2010.

She and her husband owned and operated the Hi-Way Cafe, Becker-Bierig Ford of Okeene, West Acres Grocery and the Bierig Family farm east of Fairview. After retiring, they made their home at the Fairview Fellowship Apartments for 20 years, until her health forced her into the nursing home. They were both members of the Mennonite Brethren Church in Fairview.

She is survived by two sons, Harrison Lyle Becker of Tonkawa and Lyndon Lee Becker and wife Connie of Owasso; one daughter, Lana Sue and husband Randy Miles of Oklahoma City; one brother, Dick Bierig and his wife Barbara of Fairview; two brothers-in-law, Clayton Hamm of Enid and Lynford and wife Ruby Becker of Hillsboro, Kan.; one sisterin=law, Rosemary (Mrs. Bruce) Bierig of St. Francis, Kan.; nine grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ilene Doughty; and three brothers -- Warren, Bruce and Vernon Bierig.

A private family burial will be held later at the Isabella Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Charles Miles, Jono Becker, Justin Becker, Corey Burd, Cliff Hacker and Tyler Becker.

Honorary casket bearers will be granddaughters Tara Becker Burd, Kelli Becker Hacker, Tamara Becker Kincaid, Kristin Becker Estes and Candace Miles Kallenberger.
