The Tonkawa city council has voted to pay as it goes on the new pool at Blinn Park.
The cost is expected to be $2,383,000. It will be paid from the restricted sales tax capital fund. Construction is expected to begin in March of 2021 and completion around May of 2022.
The council also voted to give all full-time employees $200 and part-time employees $50 as a holiday bonus as budgeted.
The annual election resolution was also adopted. Filing will be Monday through wednesday, Feb. 1-3 for two council positions -- ward one and ward two now held by Kenneth Smith (W2) and Glenn Cope (W1).
Both have announced they will seek re-election.
The non-partisan general election will be held on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, if needed.
In other action, Councilmen Jack Evans, Scott Klufa, Ken Smith, Glenn Cope and Stacy Burns:
-- Approved dates for 2021 council meetings: Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, april 20, May 18, June 15, July 20, aug. 17, sept,. 21, Oct. 19, Nov. 16 and Dec. 21.
--Received the audit report from Derrel White for fiscal year 2020.
-- Approved the re-appointment of Logan Moore, Brad Purdy and Ryan Paul to the Tonkawa Development Authority.
-- Renewed a five year lease with Kent McAninch for the lagoon irrigation land.
